The Dark Knight

Had such a great day. Paul and I met Ricky this morning, to see The Dark Knight, aka Batman. I really like this new series of Batman. Fortunately, the theater was pretty much empty, since I couldn't keep my mouth shut.. .. Watch out! NO NO NO! What's going to happen now RICK!!! (Rick's already seen it).. Ready to leave when things looked bad for Batman!
Best of all is realizing how much I love our life these days.. Being able to meet our son for a movie in the middle of the day would NEVER have happened in the old days of 12-13 hour days in CA or even last year when Paul worked long hours at Rawhide.
I miss our family in southern CA, but these days can travel to CA more often.. or better yet, I can hitch a ride. Katie's driving down this weekend and GRAN is hitching a ride!

Have a marvelous weekend everyone. Thanks for taking the time to read my blog today.

I still havent seen that movie, or the Batman before that. I am starting to look forward to being able to see movies during the day during the week. I got a thing in the mail this week from the AARP! ARRRGGGHHHH!

Wow, What a neat yard! Where's that Lake? I need to get to know my neighborhoods better!

Betty, this is Crystal Gardens in Avondale, Garden Lakes right next to us is even better as you can actually have a small boat in the lakes.

I am a fan of all Batman movies and I agree with you that this new series if pretty awesome. As much a fan as I am I have yet to see The Dark Knight. My wife and I were never big on going to the movies but I love watching movies on cable.

Oh I so love having time to do things. Though sometimes it gets so we do so many things we don't have any time to not do things :)

First I'd like to thank you for the nice comments you've left at my blogs. I finally took the time to find you and I just looked at your beautiful photo blog. What a nice looking, happy family!

I just saw the Dark Knight a couple nights ago and was amazed at how good it is. I never cared for those movies until the one released just before this last one...and after seeing previews with Heath Ledger as the Joker I HAD to see it. What a great job he did and all the actors did!

I think I've been at least through Buckeye, but I'm not positive.

Great photo! Isn't it great when retired and you can do things like this on the spur of the moment.

I think you should have a lane reserved for you on the 10 freeway... They should have billboards along the way just saying "Hi Betty - good to see you again"....

Have fun... And aren't you a little too mature to be hitching a ride....That's something I would only do when I was 19...ha

Wow! What great smiles from two handsome men -- and the third has to be a cookie monster!

I've had a hard time getting round to all my blogging friends lately. Seems that too often I have to choose between posting or commenting!

So glad you are enjoying life and not stressed..I try very hard to do that myself. But surprised you said you don't belong to AARP. Ha..ha I have been sending in my $12 a year for 7 years now and sometimes get a discount at hotels and car rentals, and get a magazine, but that's about it! Wished we could get better discounts after we turn "that age". Have a good one!
