Forensic Files
Yeah, well it's 1:15 Saturday Morning and sleep has eluded me since my brief "before bedtime nap" on the couch in the family room. I'm back in my office now with Rex watching forensic files (Forensic Fridays!) and wishing I could sleep. Paul's sleeping soundly, so are Katie and Sabby. Heavy sigh.
A good thing is that I've been able to visit several blogs tonight and enjoyed the solitude .. i.e. no redhead bumping my elbow... as I sit and read. I've also redone some brochures and pricing sheets and re-worked business cards for my photography.
Ricky (my youngest) has missed some work lately so we've worked out a deal whereby his car payment will be made in trade this month.. He's great with people and has agreed to take out brochures and business cards and be my "marketing guy". What a guy. I'm hopeful.
We're positively having a cold snap in Phoenix these last two days. Hasn't reached 100 since Wednesday. It was humid today with unfulfilled promises of rain.
Hope you all have a great weekend; thanks for taking the time to read my blog today.

Thursday Night.. OK Friday Morning
Approaching Storm
I'm so relieved now. Made it to and from the doctor appt yesterday and it wasn't as bad as I thought. It's always a problem when dealing with Disability and all things related. I make jokes about it; but loosing memory and being a burden is a big fear for me. On the other hand despite my other problems, Social Security is zoning in on cognitive problems; declaring me able to work if I don't have a major problem. So it's always a catch 22 for me. The Dr. had a dog who sat next to me on the couch during the questioning. He (the dog) behaved very well, but I was never sure if he was speaking to me or his dog. Some of his questions about my social life, left me with a sense that I had scored low on social behavior.. Oh well, I consider my life full and filled with people I love.
Yesterday started out cloudy; steamy. This usually means we will certainly have major monsoon storms.. OR that nothing at all will happen.
I left Downtown Phoenix at nearly 6:00 pm, headed home, and saw black clouds to the north, south and west of me. I watched the storms with a nervous eye all the way home, while singing at the top of my lungs along with George Harrison (my sweet lord, give me hope) as well as some great new songs from P.S. I love you. I really do hope that my side windows are as tinted as my back windows.
Shortly after arriving home the skies opened and Buckeye had the most rain we've had in two years. My yard is still wet along with my patio.
It's early here but despite my warm glass of milk (sorry Carla) I'm awake now and not having any luck sleeping tonight.
Ambien is out now since my behavior was never trustworthy when taking it and precautions I took NOT to be on line or up weren't working....Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts and words.
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog today.

Home
I'm home now. It's good to be home but I had a sad drive home. I miss Lyndsey and the girls. Rob and Carla had plans last night so I didn't get a chance to visit with them. Madi's birthday party is in just two weeks so Paul and I will be going back.
I've been on Disability for Multiple Sclerosis and Heart Disease for nearly a year but Social Security after 7 long months turned me down. It's a requirement of my disability coverage to get on Social Security so I need to continue to appeal the turn downs.
Tomorrow I have an appointment with one of their (Social Security) doctors in Downtown Phoenix at 3:30.. GREEEAAATTT. Rush hour. I have been told the doctor is a Psychologist. Why, I wonder, would that be. I've been on edge about this for two weeks and by now, I'm positively obsessing. I get a tad bit bitter when I consider the people I've known in my life who've never worked and go off welfare and onto Social Security so easily... And with three documented (two potentially fatal) disabling illnesses; and 38 years in the work force, I keep getting turned down. Go figure.
So please, if you should read this post; keep good thoughts for me. Life seems suddenly quite burdensome with bills and Mortgage companies and worries in the background.. This is keeping me in whine mode. I have been envisioning tomorrow evening and all being well.

RAW
Well thanks to Abe Lincoln - world's greatest blogger- I am no longer ignorant in the ways of RAW. I'm still not good at it, but I'm working on it and know how to get into my program and practice. Thanks Abe. For RAW and Macro.Abestown , Better Blog Writing, Brookville Daily Photo are his blogsites. These are some of the photos I took yesterday. Still working on them. Ricky came by for a visit with his friends and they played chicken with Sabby and Makayla. I missed getting photos of the Volleyball game they played later but it's just as well, Lyndsey nearly drowned me in the playpool and my camera would have been ruined.

I'm leaving for California today to take Lyndsey and her brood home. Will be home tomorrow.
Paul is a MASTER at the Barbecue!
Chicken
Have a good day everyone and thanks for taking the time to read my blog today.
P.S. Here's what I'll miss a lot!
