Saying Good Bye to Rex

In October, as I've mentioned,  we lost Rex, our Collie.  It was pretty rough. Today, we drove up to Red Rock State Park, near Sedona and Oak Creek. It's not legal here to spread ashes on the ground or in the water. This is Oak Creek. We didn't spread his ashes in the water but buried them. It's a beautiful place; my favorite; and I want a little of me left there some day. I think Rex would have loved this place. We still miss him a lot. No matter how bad his pain was, when Paul got home every night, he'd drag himself up and greet him at the door.We were here last summer. Today was quite different with no leaves on the trees but no less beautiful. Oak Creek is one of the most beautiful place I've ever seen. Red Rock State park is only one of many places to enjoy the creek.
Thanks Sandi & Jim for coming with us

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog today.

Is that a picture of Oak Creek? If so, it looks like a very very nice place just that very thing! I'm so sorry he's gone, but you'll meet up with him again, someday! Oh now I have tears in my eyes - I'm so emotional about animals - I can't imagine how I'll be when my kitties pass!

Nice of you to do that for Rex. It does look like a nice peaceful area.

So sad to lose a pet but it comes with being a pet owner, I guess. Most of us outlive our pets -- until the last one that outlives us.

Losing your best best friend is really hard but losing your best dog is almost more than the human mind can take. I know I still miss our Autumn Eve who passed on in 2006.

It's a beautiful area of Arizona-one of my favorite. I think it's a perfect spot for Rex-and for you to visit Rex. I'm sure it was sad, but it was wonderful of you to see it through.

Oh that's very nice to go and bury his ashes. I think he will like it there.

Wow, a sad day but a great place to do this. That bottom photo is so darn gorgeous, of that tree.
