Sophie's eating eggs
During my working days, in CA, I had long commutes; VERY long. During the very early 80's I listened to Ken & Bob from KABC 570 in L.A. They were fun and they gave us the "word" Egbok.. Everything's Going to be O.K. This was during a difficult economy 20% mortgage rates come to mind. These were the years I became hooked on Talk Radio; The days before the "Hosts" were either WAY to the right or left. I would spend my lunch hours in my car eating and listening to Michael Jackson ---- the REAL one. He'd have all kinds of guests and was a real gentleman. I felt like I knew these guys and missed them when they were gone.
I still have talk Radio on but my local station, other than "the nearly famous one Barry Young", offer only right wing Loud Mouths and leave me trying to figure out how to use the I-Pod I bought a while ago for an outdoor party, in my car. I miss the days of the very gentle Michael Jackson (not the one you may be thinking of) and Ken Minyard, his son, and Roger Barkley, and Bob, his first partner.
So In keeping with my theme of yesterday, EGBOK fellow bloggers, EGBOK.
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog today.

Try NPR. It seems these days, everyone fancies himself an expert. I tire of these people and their opinions. It's also hard to listen to nothing except bad news. To avoid that, I try to listen to music.
Yeah Rudee, I miss the laughter from these old shows though
I remember listening to those guys too. Now and then I put on KFI to hear John and Ken but John's ranting sometimes drives me crazy...
Yeah; I use to listen to them; but their kind of loud. I miss Bill Handle in the mornings on KFI.. He was funny
There's absolutely no talk radio shows around here - none that I know of anyway. But, at least there's none that play rap music either - can't stand that junk!
I hate talk shows thanks to Rush Limbaugh and others like him. I really wanted to get inside the radio and puch him a couple of times.
I used to listen to talk radio but not anymore. I'm not sure why I don't. Maybe because if I have free time, I am on this computer. Ha. Have a great weekend Betty!
Gosh. I had forgotten. That looks familiar. Even harder to pick up off the floor when somebody scoots on it.
I've started to listen to talk shows on my computer - from Ireland. Wonderful!
