I'm Home Again

For over 20 years (approx) I've driven without an accident or ticket. Now it seems I shouldn't leave my house. Since December, I've received three tickets and had one accident. While  driving home from CA today, an exhausting drive by the way), as I approached Blythe (the border city between CA and AZ) I came upon two police cars. I knew as I passed them I was going to get a ticket. My first clue...? The white police car made a U turn and was coming my way. The lights coming on, with my second clue...
A Very nice CHP officer reminding me that the limit in CA was 70; and I was clocked at 86.. I think my speedometer is off. I thought I was doing 80.. Anyway we had a nice chat and now I have two tickets to pay.. I already paid the Camera ticket.
I need to catch up around here; download photos from Sophie's party (a fantastic fiesta by the way) and Sabby is getting out of school in a few minutes.  I also want to find out how all my blogging friends are doing since I haven't read any posts for some time.
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog today.

Do you need a hospice badge to pull out and use? I may have a useless one soon.

Seems like ya got a lead foot. I can empathize. 70 is standing still...

86? Do you think you are a teenager?

Reminds me of the time you cut off the driver on the 15, flipped him off, then realized it was your son.....time for brushing up on drivers ed. Is Paul going to take away your driving privileges?

Jim, At my age, as a teenager I was a very safe driver; :)
Kathie, I don't think that really happened.

Man that sucks! It's like the luck of the draw because we all drive that fast in the California highways. I remember once we were coming back to Phoenix and was driving faster than the posted speed, all of a sudden a "nice" highway patrol passed me, got in front of me, blinked the lights twice, and then sped away from me. I took that as a friendly warning and slowed down for the next hour or so. Sorry to hear you were not as lucky, but glad that you had a fantastico time en la fiesta.

Oh darn!!! I feel for ya, shoot. But heck, there is such a long stretch at a certain time when traveling the 10 (which I assume you do) that just begs for high speeds, I know.

I use to make it from my house to Tombstone in 7 hours....a trip that would take my dad 10 hours..but of course he probably stopped for beers along the way. silly guy.

I enjoyed all he pics above. Looks like a fun party and such cute kids.
