The last two days; this is pretty much how Shane has been.
This is an older photo, taken when I let Rex out and kept Shane inside to give Rex a break from his "little brother"
I've been busy on line - Volunteering to help out in Collie and Border Collie Rescue. Providing local transportation in emergencies and Maybe Fostering collies while they're waiting for adoptive homes. Paul's not too sure he can give them up when it's time so we're talking about it...We're going tomorrow morning to meet Cody, a Standard (lassie type) collie, who is up for adoption. Paul thought it would be disloyal to Rex but I'm saying that Shane needs a new buddy badly and we honer Rex if we help Rescue a dog.
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog today

So sorry to hear that you lost Rex, losing a close companion is a very difficult thing to go through, and brings a lot of pain and sadness for everyone. I am like you though, I believe that they (both dogs and cats) will be with us in heaven where we will all get to share time together again.
Conner and Izzy look lovely together, and as they spend so much time together I'm sure that they will develop a wonderful friendship, it looks as if they have already. Bonds that you have from such an early age must last, how wonderful to have someone to look out for you like that.
I don't know much about pets but I can imagine that Shane is lonely, like any sibling he needs someone to fight with. I hope he doesn't go into a deeper depression. Who was it that said, "Dogs are people too!". I think I heard that expression.
Poor Shane, I know that he will be ok though. When we had to get rid of Midnight because Emilee was being born, we thought Wrigley would go insane. And he did the first few days, Wrigley ran around the house sniffing, looking for her. I felt awful, but its what we had to do. He whined a few times ect. But we washed our blankets and everything where Midnight had slept. We got new bowls for Wrigley, did what we could. He was ok after a week I'd say. And then came Emilee.. lol. Give it some time. And if you get another dog then he'll be happy again. Dogs are just dogs but they have senses, they hurt just like we do, i dont care what anyone says. Wrigley has the same hip displasia as Rex did and when it comes down to it, my selfishness would keep him in in a bottle next to me! :-) Take care betty, keep us posted on what happens.
Shane looks so sad!
That is great that you are volunteering to help out with the rescue collies!
Poor thing, I would get him another friend.
Awww I'm so sorry! I'd get him a new buddy too - he's sooo sweet looking! I have such a soft spot in my heart for animals... I have 3 cats and love them to death - they're my babies!
BTW, I love your tiled floor! hehehe
Hope all is okay lately? You've been quiet.....
