A Morning With Sabby

Sabby was up early this morning, Paul made her an early breakfast so she got an early start to her day. She helped clean up the kitchen, made my bed, made her and mommy's bed and got herself dressed AND fixed her hair. We have lots of back and forth over her hair... She puts it in a pony tail and at times there are several rubber bands going down her short pony. The back's not quite right but she won't let me re-do it for her. This morning she told me "That's how little kids wear it Gran".. Ok then.
The purpose of this story...
She had a few minutes extra this morning after "doing all of Gran's work for me" so she went out to spend a few minutes with the Puppies, while Gran read posts  from my blog list and reviewed some practice photos I'd taken this weekend.. The one above was a practice of getting the photo at a window without a flash . An exposure setting... She's showing off her newly painted nails by the window.
ANYWAY
At 8:05 I started down the long hallway that is my house calling out to sabby to get her back pack, this, while she was running inside to tell me kids were starting to get to school... (We live across the street from her school.. Our back yard faces the school and she could hear the school bus).
The little miss then tells me to get dressed,
to which I replied, I am...
To which she replied.. "NOT IN YOUR PAJAMAS AGAIN GRAN" (I have a tendency to walk her to the corner in pj bottoms and a sweat shirt)..
I Responded that I was NOT wearing PJ bottoms but regular pants..
SHE yelled back,, "Come here and let me check"
I walked to her bedroom door and said "See!"
She looked at me a few seconds, sighed and told me to change my sweater...
"I just want you to look pretty Gran", she sighed again. I held firm.. I promised to change it later!

To the four "children I raised" I know, this is NOT the same woman who raised you.. However, Sabby does remind me of my youngest Daughter Lyndsey and all her helpful advice to me while she was little...

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog today.

So that is what I have to look forward to. Sabby is adorable. If I lived across the street from the school, I would probably get nosy and wander over there and get into trouble for sure.

LOL Brenda, I was there more last year. I haven't been back on campus since I tripped on the lawn/cement (uneven thingy) and broke my arm - AND the district refused to pay my deductables or co-pays... I walk her to the corner and watch her into the school.. There's way too many places at this school to trip over or slip on.. :(

What a cute post and how helpful she sounds! The photo is adorable and gramma, ...I had to laugh when I read that she wanted you to "dress" a little better, haha...for that walk to the bus. That is what I would wear if I was walking the kids to a bus stop. I use to drive them to school in my pajama bottoms and got pulled over once for doing a rolling stop...I was a little embarrassed.

Sandy, that's funny... kind of everyone's worse fear when "half dressing" and driving LOL
